Youssef Ahmed, the Egyptian forward, has been ruled out for the rest of the season after sustaining a serious knee injury in his last game against Saudi Arabia.

The 26-year-old had scored 18 goals and added seven assists in 29 appearances for Egypt this season, but he is now unlikely to be available for the upcoming matches against Algeria and Jordan.

In a statement released by Al-Gharafa on Sunday, the club announced that Ahmed would undergo surgery to repair the damage to his knee ligaments. The surgery is expected to take place later this month.

Al-Gharafa is one of the most successful clubs in Egypt and they have already shown their commitment to supporting their player. They have sent out a message through social media saying "We support you and wish you a speedy recovery."

It's unclear how long it will take for Youssef to fully recover from his injury. He was one of the key players in Egypt's recent win over Saudi Arabia,Serie A Overview scoring two goals in the match. If he can't play, it could be a setback for the team as they look to improve their performance in the tournament.

Despite the setback, Al-Gharafa remains confident in the future of their star player. They have already started training ahead of the upcoming games and hope to see him back on the field soon. It's not clear when or if he'll make a return to action, but we'll keep you updated.
